Much has been said and heard about the new Verizon Droid Phones. It claims itself to be better than iPhone in many ways (have a look at the iDont ad).Droid is the buzzword amongst techies for quite some time. For the tech foodies, it is built around an OMAP 3430 processor, a QWERTY keyboard, but also touchscreen capabilities and runs Android 2 (an open source OS by Google, for cellphones). With a night sensing mode 5 MP camera, it claims to produce better night shots than the iPhone.

However, its a matter of argument as mentioned in the iPhone blog. It says that only a DSLR sensor equipped thing would be able to produce such great effects. Its going to be a very debatable and long topic as whether the iPhone is better or the Droid. Though, Verizon has been making all efforts to market the DROID and a flash website dedicated to it, much before its launch, is a very good marketing example. If the final product is able to live up to the ‘hype’, it will surely prove to be an upside for Verizon. Before jumping to any conclusions, I feel that it is worth giving a try or at least a look.
