Google launches Music Search, Navigation-app and eying Wimax Market in India

3G has been the buzz word for quite some time and the word was visible, no matter where you go or what you watch. A number of carriers are after the 3g frequency, Indian and international. However, most of them seem to have been neglecting the Wimax spectrum and thus it is a good option for new carriers. But, seems like a big name is here thats eying the available Wimax spectrum in India for Broadband Access and the name is much familiar to you:Google. Google is all set for 2.3 GHz Wimax spectrum rather than going for the 3G sale.

Google is much of a newsmaker and the news doesn’t stop with just the Wimax spectrum hunt. Google has also launched a ‘music search’ service in association with MySpace and LALA. Though, against the forecast of many, the new music launch service is nothing like the iTunes or Spotify challenger. Its a simple music search, from the engine, wherein you get a 30 sec clip of the song from Myspace too, as a sample. It is helpful, even if you are not totally familiar with the track and know just a few words or sentences.

Google surely rocks !!! And with more and more new features being added, it keeps on rocking !! The Google feast doesn’t end here, it has got much more to offer. I think most of us have used the Google Maps for mobile and found it really helpful. At least I did use it a lot and never let any cab driver make a fool out of me by taking me through longer routes. Now Google is all set to launch a turn-by-turn navigation application that could probable make lots of previously available navigation apps out of work, as this is free !!! Though, the application is going to be ad driven. I just can’t wait to try it on my mobile.
