Weight Loss in an Easier Way

I have always found people with a few extra pounds(’fat’ is an offensive term and I never liked it) very cute and adorable. But, the truth is that everyone wants to stay in shape and have a well toned body, if not the lean mean look. Browse websites, surf the internet or watch any home shopping network program on TV, you’ll find all of them selling all kinds of fad diets, diet pills, belts or other weird gadgets claiming to get you back in shape in a few week, days and for some, even hours !!! Their effectiveness has always been beyond my comprehension. They might be effective, but such a fast paced weight loss may induce loss of muscle or may affect your heart and other organs too. So, my suggestion would be, not to try a miracle, rather follow a regime that is healthier and sustainable. I think, its good to settle for the long run.
Just hear the term ‘weight loss’ and the first two things that flash across your mind are workout and dieting. The bad news is, that these two are the only and most efficient ways to shed some weight. But, don’t worry, I won’t suggest you to starve or pump iron or wake up at 5 AM and start running.
All of these are out of question. After all, you have a life and I don’t want to punish you for no reason. Just take little care of what you eat and a brisk physical work shall do the trick.
Walking is considered to be the best exercise to begin with. A 20-30 min walk, every morning after you get up, shall help you burn lots of calories. Begin with a fast paced walk and then settle down to a normal speed. I feel that a better way to follow this routine is to habituate yourself of walking for shorter distances, rather than using a conveyance.
What and when you eat is a crucial factor in deciding your weight. Try honey, its known to be effective in weight loss for ages. A glass of warm water, mixed with half a lemon and a teaspoon of honey should be the first thing that you consume everyday. You can add a little pepper to it also, to make it more effective. Ginger, pepper, cinnamon etc are good in helping weight loss. Additionally, drink at least 2-3 cups of herbal tea or ginger tea in a day. Eat lesser of milk products, but consume 2 glasses of milk everyday. Increase your intake of fruits and vegetables(green leafy ones) and avoid(no need to banish completely though) high calorie and fatty food.
A popular myth regarding weight loss, that persists is, the lesser you eat the easier it becomes. I guess you want to be slim but still stay fit and healthy, right? So, never ever skip a meal, especially breakfast. Instead of taking 2 wholesome meals a day,try to make it 4 at an interval of 2-3 hours. Consume as much of whole food as possible and prefer not to take canned, processed, frozen or leftover food. Drink 2-3 cups of water after every meal and at least one cup of warm water a day.
One good way, as I suggested earlier, is to walk as much as possible. maybe you can walk to work or the local market. You can also join some hobby classes like yoga, dance, swimming, or play some sport wherein you get a chance to burn some calories while having fun. It is always a better idea to add fun to your work, to get rid of the monotony that might prevail after a while. Just try to follow these methods and you will surely have a healthier and more fit body to flaunt.

Nice post!I hope it works well for me.
Sure Pratik, give it a try ! And dont try to impose the regime as a burden upon yourself. Make it a very normal activity, something that is usual and easily accepted. You should not feel that you are applying any extra effort trying to lose weight.
