With the day by day rise in the number of people using video phones, everyone, from mobile companies to telecom ones, all of them want to cash in on the large market potential. The tweetSMS by Airtel in India was just another example. Another addition to this episode is the groundbreaking deal between Orange (UK) and twitter.com that allows users to send photos via MMS to twitter.
In addition to the launch of this service (unfortunately available only to UK Orange customers at present), a micro site too was launched by Orange UK called Snapshot. If you are an Orange UK customer and want to try on the service, what you need to do is simply:
- Select any photo from your phone (click one or browse from your gallery)
- Choose ‘Send multimedia message’ or ‘Send via MMS’
- Send it to 86444
Cool, isn’t it ?
Users outside UK, will have to wait further. But they do have few another options and YFrog is one of them. You just need to sign up for an account at YFrog and then you would be able to use its service from your phone and upload pics on twitter. Visit the YFrog website or this link to get the details of the procedure.
