I really love winters. Its the time when there’s a serene kind of freshness all around in the air. The spine chilling winter air, the dry leaves, the fashionable winter clothes and the redness of the cheeks (you know whose?
). With so many good hings, there are a few problems that are more specific to this very season. It doesn’t make this season any less cherished, but we surely need to take care of it. Dry skin, chapped lips and dandruff are very common in this season. I already told you about skin care during Winter but I forgot telling you all about dandruff prevention and that should not be missed. I, myself being very lazy person, always look for an easier option for everything.
That’s why, so far I’ve covered only the easier ways for skin care, weight loss and makeup. So, here go the tips:
- Massage your scalp with lukewarm oil at least 2 or 3 times a week and then take a shower. It helps your scalp get rid of the dryness as well as helps cleaning it.
- Before taking a shower after the massage, wrap your hair in a towel soaked in hot water for 15-20 min. Then shampoo effectively for a softer hair.
- When you shampoo, make sure that you use an anti-dandruff shampoo and apply conditioner for at least 10 to 15 minutes and then rinse your hair with normal water.
- To avoid dandruff from regenerating, always keep all your combs and brushes clean.
There are a few other tips that you can follow, apart from those mentioned above. But for that you will have to go an extra mile. A good idea would be to use henna (Lawsonia inermis, syn. L. alba) on your hair as it helps in a healthy hair growth and curbs the dandruff. But be before applying henna you need to prepare it well. Add a good amount of curd, lemon juice, some amla(Phyllanthus emblica, syn. Emblica officinalis) powder and shikakai powder, some water with tea boiled in it or if possible egg in henna powder and then mix it well and and keep it aside for at least 2 or 3 hours. After that apply this paste on your head and cover ur head with a plastic hair cap for preventing the henna from getting dry. The longer u keep it on your head the more beautiful your hair would be.
A little alteration in feeding habits too can cause wonders fro your here. Try to consume food rich in Vitamin E to prevent hair loss. Try to include soybeans, milk, spinach for iron, oranges, amla, lemon for vitamin C, in your diet and if u like fish to eat then fish is very good for healthy hair. Also, make it a habit to drink at least 8 glass of water per day.
Finally, mesmerize everyone with your shinier, healthier and marvelous hair this winter. All the best !
